What is FMT — and why does it matter?

Your microbiome runs the show
The trillions of bacteria in your intestines control far more than digestion. They produce 90% of your serotonin, regulate your immune system, metabolize hormones like testosterone and DHT, and communicate directly with your brain through the gut–brain axis.

A broken gut breaks everything
Medications, infections, and environmental factors can wipe out the gut microbiome. The fallout: brain fog, chronic fatigue, joint pain, skin conditions, hormonal dysfunction, anxiety, and depression — even in young, otherwise healthy people.

Healthy bacteria, transplanted
Fecal Microbiota Transplantation takes screened, healthy gut bacteria from a donor and transplants them into a patient's gut. Research shows it resolves chronic fatigue, neurological symptoms, autoimmune conditions, and hormonal imbalances with an 80–90% efficacy rate.

Peer-reviewed, not fringe
A 2026 paper confirmed gut bacteria directly affect erectile function and androgen metabolism. Multiple case studies document patients recovering from decades of chronic illness after FMT — including hair regrowth, restored energy, and reversed depression.
Patients reclaim whole lives
Life-saving cases, debilitating conditions reversed, and peer-reviewed science.
"A 4-year-old girl developed a life-threatening C. difficile infection after antibiotics destroyed her gut bacteria. After six months of failed treatments and hospitalizations, a single fecal transplant cured her completely. Her father told reporters: If we didn't get a transplant, she was going to die."
"Pat Shoop, a 75-year-old schoolteacher, was dying from recurrent C. difficile infection. Every antibiotic failed. As a last resort, doctors transplanted stool from her husband. She was cured. A review of 317 patients found FMT cured 92% of cases — nearly all after just one treatment."
"Patients with severe C. difficile — facing either colon removal surgery with a 50% death rate or FMT — achieved a 91% clinical cure rate with FMT. Among the most severe complicated cases, 87% were cured. FMT saved these patients from life-threatening surgery."
"Clinical trials using FMT in Parkinson's disease patients demonstrated improvements in both motor and non-motor symptoms. Constipation and gastrointestinal symptoms — which often precede Parkinson's by years — showed significant relief across all studies."
"A systematic review of 34 studies found FMT showed beneficial effects on neurological symptoms in autism spectrum disorder, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, epilepsy, and Tourette syndrome. FMT influences the brain through the gut-brain axis — modulating neurotransmitters, inflammation, and immune responses."
"A 36-year-old man who suffered severe psoriasis for 10 years and inflammatory bowel disease for 15 years received two FMT sessions. Both skin inflammation markers and intestinal symptoms improved significantly — showing FMT can resolve chronic inflammatory skin conditions by restoring gut bacteria."
"The first two patients with major depressive disorder ever treated with FMT both showed improvement in depressive symptoms within 4 weeks. Gastrointestinal symptoms including chronic constipation also resolved with measurable microbiome changes."
"Two patients with alopecia universalis — complete hair loss across the entire body — experienced significant hair regrowth after FMT when every other treatment had failed. Published photos show regrowth on face and scalp within 8 weeks."
